Sputtering Targets
International Advanced Materials manufactures sputtering targets of
varying purities, and fabricates them into standard shapes and sizes
suitable for use in many major systems or to customer specifications.
Systems include RF, DC and magnetron sputtering systems. Specializing
in rounds (circular) and rectangular targets, IAM also supplies conical,
planar, delta and ring sputtering targets. Other custom
target configurations are available by request. IAM’s target manufacturing
methods, depending on target material, include:
Hot pressing, vacuum melting and machining
IAM offers bonding and backing plate services. Indium
and silver epoxy bondings are common, other special bondings are available.
IAM will debond
used customer targets. Backing plates of copper, stainless steel or other
materials can be manufactured to most target configurations.
